最近迷上的一個小團。
起初是聽到他們的『Don't Wake Me Up』，Salpeter的甜美漫漫歌聲，吸引了我，加上副歌是由Fall out Boy 的 Patrick Stump Feating（Live演唱時，這部份的副歌常常會跑出別團的人來插花，抱括Forrest Kline frome Hellogoodbye、Dan from This Is Me Smiling、Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy、Brendon Urie from And Panic! At The Disco等等，真的超High耶！！）覺得這首歌真是太美妙了，連我室友聽到我播放時，都不自禁地翩翩起舞，每天晚上都必放一次。
後來去他們的MySpace，進入後，播放著『Wine Red』，這可是極選之作呀！被收錄在飛機上有蛇的原聲帶裡，馬上也愛上這首歌。
Salpeter的亮麗嗓音，又帶有著慵懶的香醇，配上男團的合聲，只能耳聽為憑呀。
這兩首歌，讓我徹底愛上這個在台灣沒沒無名的小團呀！

【介紹】
The Hush Sound一開始是由Bob Morris(guitar)和Greta Salpeter(piano/guitar)組成，Greta Salpeter從三歲就開始學習古典鋼琴（望女成鳳？），後來經過朋友介紹認識了Morris，兩人發現致趣相同，儘管一個7年級，一個10年級，但兩人還是一有空就做自己的音樂，在2004年寒假，兩個開始正式寫歌，並起了個名字叫"The hush" ，而"sound"是兩個覺得可能叫出來會更上口最後才加上的。隨著深入，兩人覺得「二重唱」沒意思，就決定在招兩個人組成個「四重唱」，Darren Wilson (drums)、Chris Faller (bass)就是在這種情況下加入的。Faller更是放棄了另外兩個樂隊的邀請，最後加入The Hush Sound，使得樂隊最後完整。
「四重唱」（每個人都是歌唱的一份子）兩個月後在自己的錄音室完成了小樣，兩個晚上居然賣出了300多張！這引起了Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy發起人)注意並把他們簽下自己旗下Decaydance。隨後他們重新發佈了那張小樣並起名「So Sudden」。2006年樂隊發行第二張專輯 「Like Vines」。
The Hush Sound提供了一種不同於以往那種單一的飽和rock場景，這種indie-folk-pop-rock風格崩發出充滿詭異的吉他即興片段、振奮的鋼琴部分、層次分明的男女重唱。這種風格難以歸納，但卻是最原始最充滿想像的，影響樂隊的範圍從Paul Simon到The Shins到The Format……
